After the fire broke out, Malaysia's Selangor Fire Department rushed to the scene and it is understood that 14 fire engines from nine Fire and rescue stations (BBP) were involved in fighting the fire.

Meanwhile, Port Klang North said in a statement that there were no injuries as a result of the incident and the port's operations were not affected by the fire.
At present, the North Port operator is working with the authorities to investigate the cause of the accident, confirm the authenticity of the items declared in the container fire, and take necessary measures to prevent potential risks.

Port Klang is the largest port in Malaysia and the 12th largest container port in the world, with a container throughput of 13.22 million TEU in 2022.
